The weekend

As of lately, two things are important to note. I've taken a little sewing hiatus (more on that later...), and my afermentioned (last week) love affair with curry still stands true.

Bronson and I idolize the weekends. However, throw in full-time work and school, all we can manage to do on a friday night is go out to eat, and that's about it. We went to chipotle because we had a coupon, and we both left unimpressed. (lo siento to all you chipotle lovers). We think we will stick to cafe rio, because we really don't have mouths made for the mexican heat.

To make up for chipotle, we did the next best thing. House-hunting online. I know, I know, slightly pre-mature of us considering the fact we are newlyweds, but I can't wait to own a home. Fixer-upper legitimately ruined me. We looked in various cities we could potentially end up after Bronson finishes his masters, and it just makes me giddy. Sigh. We can just dream for now though.

Saturday is when we manage to do our "date-activity". We walked early in the morning to the temple. And then did some reorganizing of our apt. I've been meaning to read the The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying-up. But for fear or going in demolition mode of dejunking everything we own, I've hesitated. Lets just say, I started by parting with some cut up fabric, so thats actually a big deal.
In the afternoon, because we've had this perfect weather, we went and played foot golf, at a nearby golf course. Instead of golf-balls and clubs you hit a soccer ball from pole to pole, and count your pars as you go. Sad to say, i'm actually sore, but can you blame me since my glory days of YMCA soccer ended after the first grade, when I forgot to bring my shin guards to one of my games. I've loathed soccer since.

We had Lynette over for dinner last night, and ate...can you guess...curry! Duh. Afterwards we watched The Giver, which i highly recommend.

**this was all Bronson's idea, which i think is awesome that he finds fun things for us to do.

  1. Fun weekend! I should have made you curry when you were here. Sure love it too! That soccer golf thing looks really fun.

  3. foot golf is a legit thing or did you make it up and bring your own balls? Either way looked like fun and so pretty with the mountains in the backgroud!
