what really happened a year ago

Life lately has been a perfect blend of family and the olympics. Which, in case you are wondering is the absolute perfect combination. If I got a portion of the lottery, I would conduct a survey to study how many children in the USA are now enrolled in Swimming and Gymnastics so they can be the next Phelps, Ledecky and Biles.

Over the past two weeks, we've been lucky to attend three different sealings for friends and family. Every time, I turn to Bronson and say, "doesn't this make you want to get married again?" And he quickly says, "No. I don't. I'm glad we did, but I couldn't do a wedding again." I guess thats why we only do it once. :)

My one collective observation after attending the three weddings was -- did we really do that a year ago? What do I mean by that? Well, every time I hear the words of the sealer talk about all the blessings and responsibilities that come with an eternal temple marriage, I'm a) astounded and b) start to question if we really knew how incredible eternal marriage is before we did it. The answer is definitely no.

According to Malcom Gladwell, it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something, and since Bronson and I have been married for now over 8,316 hours, that makes also almost experts at marriage. *Hair flip*

So lets just remember the day of days that we will re-live over again in our minds, just not re-live in real life.

For some reason this is one of my favorite photos ...

  1. Cute! I love your *hair flip* insert in there. Made me laugh.
